JERI
RIGGS, a retired Psychiatrist and award-winning Quilt Artist, began
her love affair with textiles as a small child, relying on sewing and
crocheting to relax through stressful situations. As a medical intern in
the '80s, she designed and crocheted the lace for her wedding dress on
rare evenings off.
In 2004 she stepped into a yarn shop and was immediately seduced by the
colors and possibilities of all the marvelous new yarns available. Jeri
spent the last 3 years teaching herself how to knit, giving knitting and
crocheting classes in the local elementary school and teaching all of
her quilting friends to knit.. She is thrilled to bring her love of
knitting, color, texture and design to Sticks and Strings and hopes to
share that joy with you.
